Niskayuna
school community honors those who serve
Social studies teacher coordinates effort to
honor Niskayuna graduates serving in the
military
Under the
leadership of social studies teacher Peter
Warren, a group of Niskayuna teachers, students
and staff continues to recognize and honor
Niskayuna graduates who have served in the armed
forces since September 11, 2001. On November 10,
in honor of the Veteran’s Day holiday, a tribute
was given to these veterans with the reading of
a solemn statement followed by the names and
service records of the Niskayuna graduates
listed below. The group is planning more events
and activities—including a display in the high
school listing the names, pictures and service
information of these exemplary graduates.
