Niskayuna High School, Van Antwerp Middle
School receive ExxonMobil Educational Alliance
Grants
Niskayuna
High School and Van Antwerp Middle School have
each received a $1,000 grant funded by the
ExxonMobil Educational Alliance and Red-Kap
Sales, Inc. Local Exxon and Mobil retail
stations have the opportunity to provide support
for schools in their communities through the
ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program.
Niskayuna High
School received a $750 grant on behalf of Hari’s
Service Center Mobil station on Troy Road. The
$750 grant provided to Van Antwerp Middle School
was sponsored by Kugler Development Mobil
station on Balltown Road. Red-Kap Sales, Inc.,
which serves as the gasoline supplier to both
stations, contributed an additional $250 to each
school.
Educational
Alliance grants can be used for a broad range of
programs based on the needs of the individual
school. Niskayuna High School intends to
establish a fund to assist students affected by
the economic downturn by purchasing basic school
supplies. At Van Antwerp Middle School, the
funding will assist with classroom technology
enhancements.
