Welcome to the Office of Human Resources

About Us
The staff of the Human Resources Office is committed to serving faculty, staff, and students of the Niskayuna Central School District. Our office provides a range of services to the 800-plus employees of the school district, which includes teachers, nurses, administrators, secretarial staff, custodial staff, bus drivers, paraprofessionals and other support personnel. Some of these services include:

  • Administration of employee benefits and personnel policies;
  • Implementation and oversight of federal and state policies and civil service procedures governing employment;
  • Staff recruitment, hiring and retirement procedures and negotiated agreements.

To learn more about educational careers in the Niskayuna Central School District, view our award-winning recruitment brochure, Professional Careers in Niskayuna, developed by the district's  communications office. The brochure won an Award of Honorable Mention in June 2008 from the National School Public Relations Association. (6 pages, 15.5 MB Adobe pdf file.)

About Our Site
HR posts vacancy announcements for faculty and non-instructional positions. Our site also includes informational links for staff.
Most of the forms on our site are in PDF format. Some of the forms utilize the typewriter tool in Adobe Acrobat 7, allowing them to be filled out electronically. To download the most recent copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader, please visit the Adobe website.
