Voting by absentee ballot

Eligible residents who are unable to vote at the polls can register their choices by absentee ballot.

Note: Absentee ballots can be requested in person (at the District Office, 1239 Van Antwerp Road) until the day before the vote. The deadline for requesting a ballot be mailed is seven days before the vote.

Completed applications and ballots must be received by the clerk no later than 5 p.m. on the day of the vote.

For more information, call the district clerk at (518) 377-4666, Ext. 212.

Are you eligible to vote?

You are eligible to vote if you are a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older and have been a Niskayuna school district resident for at least 30 days prior to the vote. No pre-registration is required, though personal identification (such as a driver's license) is requested at the polls.

For more information, call the district clerk at (518) 377-4666, Ext. 212.
