Two Common Core Math Parent Nights were held in January where Niskayuna
teachers and administrators shared information to help parents get a better
understanding of the math being taught in elementary classrooms. Presenters also
provided parents with strategies to help children at home and debuted a Common
Core Mathematics video featuring Niskayuna students,
teachers and principals.

Glencliff first grade students shared what they learned about the
first Thanksgiving with their families by putting on a play on
Tuesday, November 24.

This year, the district is utilizing its Parent Portal to provide parents with online access to individual student results on the assessments students currently in grades 4-9 took last spring.
